Warren Gatland's side are as short as 4/6 in the outright betting to win their first series Down Under since 1989. On that occasion Scotland’s Finlay Calder led the Lions to a famous 2-1 series victory and its 15/8 skipper Sam Warburton's side repeat that scoreline this time around.

The Wales back row forward has challenged his side to remain unbeaten on the ten-match tour and that would return at 9/1.

Warburton heads a 15-man Welsh contingent with the rest of the 37-man Lions squad made up of 10 Englishmen, nine Irishmen and three Scotsmen bidding to secure their first Lions tour triumph since 1997.

Wales duo George North and Alex Cuthbert are 7/2 favourites to be the Lions top try scorer from Ireland's Tommy Bowe (11/2) and England's Manu Tuilagi.
