We are committed to understanding the impacts of gambling on individuals and on society.  Research can help us to do all we can to ensure that customers gamble responsibly and keep it fun.

Responsibility in Gambling Trust

We pay an annual voluntary contribution to the Responsibility in Gambling Trust (RIGT) www.rigt.org.uk, a charitable body whose objectives are:

• The relief of those who are vulnerable or otherwise in need as a result of gambling, by providing counselling and advice
• The advancement of education for the benefit of the public by research into the types of addictive gambling, the causes of gambling and the effectiveness of treatments, and the publication of the results of such research. 

To provide counselling and advice, RIGT supports two charities in the UK, GamCare and Gordon House.

Other research

We are also part of Oxford University research and have invited our customers to complete a survey in online gambling.  Online gambling has increased substantially in the last few years but little is known about the effects of the internet on people's gambling behaviour and how this varies between people who use gambling websites a little and those who use these websites alot.  The research is looking at this gap and we await the conclusions.
