Using Credit and Debit cards
You are at: Help & Support > Using Credit and Debit cards
We now allow customers to have up to three cards registered on their account. This can be a mixture of credit and debit cards. Please see below for full details and card policy rules.
To minimise the possibility of fraud and to comply with regulations set out by the card issuers, Sky Bet operates certain policies and procedures.
Registering your Card
- To deposit funds you have to register a debit or credit card. You are asked to do this when you open your Sky Betting and Gaming account.
- We allow customers to have three cards registered to their account at any one time. Before withdrawing excess funds to a card, all of the registered cards must have zero (or below) Net Deposits (see below for more info).
- One of the cards on the account will be set as the default card. This can be changed at any time. You can also set a nickname for each card to differentiate between them.
- We accept MasterCard and Visa credit cards, UK debit cards (Maestro, Solo, Visa Delta and Visa Electron) and Irish Laser debit cards. UK Debit Cards can only be registered on GBP accounts and Laser cards can only be registered on Euro accounts.
- When you open your account you are asked to select your currency. We accept deposits in GBP, Euro, Australian Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Singapore Dollars and US Dollars. All your betting transactions will then be made in that currency.
Net Deposits
When you're ready to withdraw funds you'll see a Net Deposit amount next to each registered card.
For simplicity, your Net Deposit amount will reflect your account balance at 9.00am on 11/06/08 plus any transactions carried out since then.
The Net Deposit on all registered cards must be at zero (or below) before you can withdraw any excess funds to that card.
The Net Deposit is calculated by subtracting your total withdrawals from your total deposits. This means that you can only withdraw funds back to the card they came from.
When all your net deposits are zero (or below), you'll be able to withdraw any extra funds in your balance back to any registered card.
Example of Net Deposits:
You have two cards registered and deposit £10 from Card A and £20 from Card B, giving you a Net Deposit of £10 on Card A and £20 on Card B.
You then place all that money on a bet and win £100. This means you will need to withdraw £10 to Card A and £20 to Card B before you can withdraw the remaining £70.
The remaining £70 can then be withdrawn to either card.
