Game Introduction:

Welcome to 3 Card Poker, the new easy to play game from Sky Vegas that is simple to learn and easy to master.  To win simply beat the dealer but you can also get paid up to 40/1 on the strength of your hand!

Types of bet:

Before you begin a game of Three Card Poker, it is important to be aware of the different types of bet you can place throughout the game. There are three types of bet in Three Card Poker:

Ante

The Ante is a bet that can be placed at the start of a game. It may be of any value you wish providing it is within the maximum limits of the game. The ante bet will also qualify for an ante bet bonus should the player's hand not fold.
Tip: Be aware that the raised bet, if played later in the game, will be the same as your original ante bet - so ensure that your funds are sufficient to cover this.

Ante Bonus

This free bet is made by the house on the players behalf when you place an Ante bet for the same stake as the ante. It pays out based on the hand the player gets. You will only receive your stake back on the Ante - not the free Ante bonus bet.

Play (Raised)

An optional bet, with a value the same as your ante bet. This bet is placed once your hand has been dealt and you have seen your cards. Play this bet if you do not wish to fold and feel you have a chance of winning the game.

Pairs Plus

An optional bet, this bet is made prior to your hand being dealt.
The tablecloth on the screen shows the odds available you could potentially win. It represents the odds to be paid depending on the eventual value of your hand:

How to Play:

  1. To begin a game, an ante bet must be placed on the table. The ante bet is compulsory and starts play. Select your stake for the ante bet by clicking on a suitable chip at the bottom of the screen.  The example shows the £5 chip selected; notice that it is raised slightly. Click the Clear button if you wish to change your stake at this stage. Chip values maybe mixed on a particular bet; for example £25chip+£5chip=£30 total stake for that game.
  2. Click on the ante button to place your bet. A free Ante Bonus will also be placed on your behalf.
  3. At this stage you should decide whether you wish to play the pairs plus bet. To play the pairs plus bet, click on the red button above the ante betting area. A chip will appear over the button
  4. Now select the Deal button to play. Use the Clear button if you wish to remove your bet from the table and choose another stake:
  5. Three cards will be dealt to you (your 'hand') and three to the dealer. All Dealer Cards are hidden from view.
  6. Based on the strength of your hand, you must now decide whether to play on and bet, or to fold. If your hand is weak and you do not wish to play on, click the Fold button. You would automatically lose the game, your ante bet stake and your Pairs Plus bet.
  7. If you choose to play on, or 'raise' the bet, click the PLAY button:
  8. A stake the same amount as your ante bet will be deducted from your balance and will automatically appear on the "play" section on the table.
  9. The dealer's cards will now be revealed and compared to your hand.
  10. If the dealer's hand does not contain a queen or higher poker hand, the dealer is unable to play their hand. You, the player, then receive even money (1 to 1) on the ante bet, and the raised bet stake is returned to you (a 'push').
  11. If the dealer has a queen or better, the dealer will play their hand. If you beat the dealer's hand, you will be paid evens on your ante bet and your raised bet.
  12. If the dealer's hand beats your hand, you lose your ante bet and your raised bet.
  13. If the dealer's hand matches your hand, the ante and raise bets will both be returned (a 'push').

Having played an ante and raise bet then the ante bet you will also qualify a Ante Bonus award. The Ante Bonus awards are independent of the Dealer's hand. The Dealer does not need to play, nor does the Dealers hand need to be lower than your hand, for you to win an Ante Bonus award. You will win a sum based on your ante bet, calculated according to the strength of your hand. The odds on this bet are listed on the right of the table.

If you participated in the pairs plus and drew a hand that qualifies, you will win a sum based on your pairs plus bet, calculated according to the strength of your hand.
