About the FIFA World Cup 2014

The 2014 World Cup will be hosted by five-time winners Brazil and will begin on June 12, with the final taking place on July 13. You can bet on who will make the last two and the stage of elimination for each of the favourites. It will be the 20th World Cup and former winners Italy, Germany, England, Argentina and Spain will all be taking part.

The FIFA World Cup 2014 will be the first to be staged in South America since 1978 and current holders Spain will look to become the first side since the great Pele-inspired Brazil teams of 1958 and 1962 to win the tournament back-to-back. Belgium have arguably their best squad since 1986 when they finished fourth in Mexico and have been one of the most popular outside bets in the outright market.

Meanwhile, German football is enjoying a fresh wave of popularity and it is reflected in the betting odds, with three-time winners Germany one of the front-runners, while England can be backed to be eliminated in a penalty shoot-out, as they were in World Cups 1990, 1998 and 2006.
