Places up for grabs on final day

Arsenal will seal a top-four finish if they can justify their odds-on price for a win away to Newcastle, but they’ll be keeping tabs on events at Tottenham.

The Gunners will be going all out for the win, knowing failure to collect three points would see their north London rivals snatch fourth place at their expense if they beat Sunderland at home.

Andre Villas-Boas’ men are rated at 2/1 to spoil Arsenal’s season by pulling off the feat and they’re odds-on to hold up their end of the bargain at White Hart Lane.

Meanwhile, the Gunners and Chelsea, who are odds-on to beat Everton on Sunday, may be forced into a play-off to determine who finishes the table in third place, but it’s considered an unlikely outcome at 50/1 under Premier League Specials.

The Blues are in the driving seat and only need to beat the Toffees at Stamford Bridge to secure third spot, but should they draw with Arsenal beating Newcastle by a single goal, scoring only two more than the Blues in the process, then a play-off will be required.

Elsewhere, positions are up for grabs in mid-table, with Fulham, Southampton, Newcastle, Norwich and Stoke all vying to creep into the top-half on the final day at the expense of West Ham, but Sam Allardyce’s men are expected to get the job done at home to Reading.

The Royals will be aiming to avoid defeat in order to stave off the threat of finishing bottom of the table at the expense of QPR, who are 11/1 to pick up the three points they require at Anfield to have any chance of avoiding the wooden spoon.

As for the rest, West Brom will be looking to put a dampener on Sir Alex Ferguson’s last game in charge of Manchester United, while Wigan fans will be hoping their meeting at home with Aston Villa will not be their last under manager Roberto Martinez.

"This is such a big game for Arsenal and they'll certainly be feeling the pressure on them. However, they are unbeaten in their last nine in the league and are playing well at the moment and I think they'll just edge the win they need." Read more
